There is no point having a presence on all the social networks if you don’t know what goals or which audience you want to reach. So you must answer this question before you get started with your social media marketing.

I am not going to cover how to build a social media plan in this post; I will assume that you already have a presence on the social networks of your choice, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and/or Google+. 2. Adobe Spark
Adobe Spark is a relatively new addition to my favorite small business social media marketing tools, and has become one of my personal favorites. I use it for creating visual content for our blog and social-media presence. You simply choose from millions of photos, and it’ll put together what looks like the best presentation in the world.
To help gauge what others are saying in terms of content and identify the key industry trends in relevant information that should shape your own social-media posts, Feedly offers content curation and content sharing that integrates with Buffer.
This is another recent addition to my favorite small business social media marketing tools. Ripl is the first app that enables social media influencers to quickly personalize and share trending stories, create eye-catching original content and monetize their following across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Ripl scans millions of public social media posts searching for trending content; automatically curating the most popular content into more than 460 topic feeds ranging from yoga and healthy eating to sports and technology. As a result, social media influencers can easily discover and share relevant news and trends with their followers.
It’s okay to re-use old content on social media as long as its relevant, but it is often hard to find that great content among the daily social-media posts. Edgar can solve that by helping you to locate some of that incredible content that many followers may have missed, because they were inundated with the constant flow of information.
But they might catch your great information this time around. This social-media tool provides a way to categorize your posts, so you can more easily track down the content that you want to re-post in the near future.

AddThis is the world’s largest content sharing platform. It provides tools that make it easier share content across the social web, and provides publishers with increased traffic and in-depth analytics. AddThis provides sharing, following and recommended content tools, social analytics, tools to measure audience engagement, as well as Audience Targeting conversion tools.
Buffer allows you to easily post to Twitter, Facebook profiles and pages, LinkedIn profiles and company pages, and Google+ brand pages. As both a web and iOS app, Nuzzel helps you organize the stories shared by your Facebook and Twitter friends, aggregating the information into easy-to-read links and providing a way to add influencers that you can leverage for your own marketing needs. You can also go deeper by accessing the stories shared by friends of friends to develop a better understanding of your audience.
Bundlepost is another option for scheduling your posts but one that comes with features that improve upon other options. One highlight is Bundlepost will replace common niche keywords with hashtags, vastly improving your engagement results.
vitality is one of the main goals of marketing through social-media channels. Babbly enables you to amplify your audience by sharing content through its own community of users and influencers. The tool is very simple. You just enter or paste the URL you want to promote, and the platform does its job. Babbly comes in a straightforward interface that’s also mobile-friendly, which means you can grab attention for your content across different kinds of devices.
MailChimp is an email marketing and newsletter service with a long and proven track record. Each month, MailChimp send out around 4 billion emails and takes care of all the issues that can arise from sending out emails to your customers.
MailChimp makes email marketing easy, and over time you can add more information such as demographics (age, gender, location etc). MailChimp also have detailed analytics, so you can track when your recipients open the email or click-through to your website.
SlideShare is slide-hosting service. Users can upload files privately or publicly in the following file formats: PowerPoint, PDF, Keynote or OpenDocument presentations. Slide decks can then be viewed on the site itself, on hand-held devices or embedded on other sites.
Although the website is primarily a slide hosting service, it also supports documents, PDFs, videos and webinars. SlideShare also provides users the ability to rate, comment on, and share the uploaded content.
If you need to showcase an e-book you will need to use a document sharing service. You may have already heard of the likes of SlideShare. But there is another document sharing service called edocr. When you upload your e-book to edocr you will then appear in the edocr directory and be searchable for any edocr user and on the web. When an edocr user reads your e-book you get notified by email and you’re then able to follow-up on that lead.
bit.ly is a URL shortener. That means it takes a long web address such as

The beauty of bit.ly is that it is very widely used and has fantastic analytics. This means you can easily see how many times a link in a tweet has been clicked as well as what network they were using. If you want to be really posh you can even customize the look of your short URL by adding a custom URL shortener with bit.ly, like https://bit.ly-s5i-post

Google Analytics is a completely free web analytics product. That means it doesn’t just tell you how many hits you have to your website it tells you how many actual visitors you have, where they’re from, how long they stay on the website, where they come from and much more!
21. Follower Wonk
As a Moz app solely for Twitter analytics, Follower Wonk helps you find, analyze and optimize your social-media efforts on this platform. You can get deeper information about your followers, where they are located, and when they tweet plus the ability to locate new influencers and optimize your own tweets.

As another analytics tool, Social Clout looks at where you can make significant improvements in engagement, campaigns and keywords. It also delivers reports on demographics and social-media results. All of these reports provide data on multiple social-media accounts to help you track the progress and be able to note the differences in responses across platforms.
